BSC - 204%

For those who knew what happened to Bear Sterns (BSC) earlier today, you would like my BSC stock tripled in value.

JP Morgan and Bear Stearns just announced an amended merger agreement where JP Morgan will pay $10 per share for Bear Stearns. BSC shares rose shortly after the news and had been up since then.


I exited at a predetermined profit take of $11.11 - which is 204% from the initial $3.65 buy last Tuesday.

Postive Mental Attitude

I never did consider playing stocks alone, since I knew the leverage of options and forex. But since last friday, I 'indulged' myself in trading stocks like Bear Sterns (BSC) and Countrywide (CFC). I personally take these as mid-term investments.

Despite having the good-nature of no-expiration, we knew that stocks are typically more expensive, less leverage instruments as compared to the 2 other mentioned tools. But, now as the market is at the down swing and the prices of stocks are cheaper than some popular options, I think we should not shut the door to stock trading which most people associate it with negative thoughts!

What Happened?

What exactly happened?

I just happened to be away from the market and the whole market crashed like there's no tomorrow. I bought into 2 companies....

When there was a discount of 90%, I bought into Countrywide (CFC) last Friday at $4.55.

When JP Morgan announced that they would bail Bear Sterns (BSC) at $2 a share, I bought into BSC at $3.65 after the price falls $26 today!

THE SKY IS FALLING and here's the time to go in for the killing!
