Just got out of my 1st stock CFC at 5.68.


CFC - Buy @ 4.55, Sell @ 5.68 (24.8% - 14 Mar to 20 Mar)

Postive Mental Attitude

I never did consider playing stocks alone, since I knew the leverage of options and forex. But since last friday, I 'indulged' myself in trading stocks like Bear Sterns (BSC) and Countrywide (CFC). I personally take these as mid-term investments.

Despite having the good-nature of no-expiration, we knew that stocks are typically more expensive, less leverage instruments as compared to the 2 other mentioned tools. But, now as the market is at the down swing and the prices of stocks are cheaper than some popular options, I think we should not shut the door to stock trading which most people associate it with negative thoughts!

It's widely known that negative minds cannot conceive exciting new business opportunities and solve difficult problems. These activities require a positive belief in yourself and your abilities.

It is the nature of opportunity that it simply refuses to attach itself to negative thinkers.

FOMC's GBP/USD

The US market is booming (DJIA up more than 400 points today) with the FOMC announcement of 0.75% rate cut.


As usual, the GBP/USD pair will go haywire and I capture on the chance by entering twice.

GBP/USD - Short @ 2.0171, Closed @ 2.0106 (65 pips x 2 mini lots)
GBP/USD - Short @ 2.0177, Closed @ 2.0117 (60 pips x 0.02 mini lots)


p/s: My CFC and BSC are now 5.08 (up ~12%) and 6.05 (up ~165%) respectively! Paper gain!

I liquidate this position before the FOMC announcement.

What Happened?

What exactly happened?

I just happened to be away from the market and the whole market crashed like there's no tomorrow. I bought into 2 companies....

When there was a discount of 90%, I bought into Countrywide (CFC) last Friday at $4.55.

When JP Morgan announced that they would bail Bear Sterns (BSC) at $2 a share, I bought into BSC at $3.65 after the price falls $26 today!

THE SKY IS FALLING and here's the time to go in for the killing!
