145 pips from GBP/USD swing trades!

As mentioned last week, I got a couple of GBP/USD swing trades (since Jan-24 and Jan-25). I played these swing trades rather aggressive (and quite of the averaging mentality) and thus, I didn't place any stop losses.

But earlier, the NFP announcement brought the currency pair down more than 200 pips after 8.30am EST!

GBP/USD - Short @ 1.9715, Closed @ 1.9683 (+32 pips in 8 days)

GBP/USD - Short @ 1.9695, Closed @ 1.9683 (+12 pips in 8 days)

Total Net Pips Gained: 145 pips (all standard lots x 5 each) - US$7K++

4 pips gain from 2 pairs of JPY

I used runner strategy today on 2 pairs of JPY . I shifted my stop loss and captured 2 pips each.



EUR/JPY - Short @ 157.62, Initial Stop Loss 157.95, Closed @ predetermined 2nd stop loss 157.60 (+2 pips)
USD/JPY - Short @ 106.75, Initial Stop Loss 107.05, Closed @ predetermined 2nd stop loss 106.73 (+2 pips)

-23 pips

Today is a bit disappointing - lost more than gain by 23 pips!

USD/JPY - Long @ 106.95, Closed @ 106.98 (+3 pips)
EUR/USD - Short @ 1.4743, Closed @ predetermined stop loss 1.4769 (-26 pips)

p/s: I haven't closed my GBP/USD swing trades!

An hour trade - 28 Pips

I traded for 3 long positions (the 3 typical currency pairs) at around Singapore time 11.30pm. I closed all 3 trades within the next hour!

USD/JPY - Long @ 106.80, Closed @ 106.78 (-2 pips)
EUR/USD - Long @ 1.4781, Closed @ 1.4794 (+13 pips)

p/s: I'm still in a swing trade for GBP/USD position since last Thursday!
