It's My 26th Birthday Today...

Photo taken at Mid-Valley The Gardens Starbucks just now...

It has been exactly one year since I started this blog. Nothing is more memorable than today.

I was in Malaysia today and I just finished watching 'Wall-E' alone in The Gardens. Today, I have reflected on myself so much more today than any other days in the past 365 days.

1. If I had not declared to the world one year ago, I may not have set this goal to 'retire' by the age of 26. I won't be able to have the 'master plan' to achieve financial independence so fast. Thanks to those who inspired me and encouraged me along the way.

2. Success really breeds success; it's precisely because of this, I managed to achieve more and more. Thank you to those who have been believing me and always been helping me over the years.

3. I have learnt so much about Internet Marketing (from Bernard Hay) and Property Investment (from KS Low), which are invaluable business and financial lessons I never knew without their guidance. Thanks pals!

4. This year, I set up FOREX ASIA ACADEMY and see myself leading a whole new different life. I find a new purpose in life and able to improve lives in the process. Been recognized by (1) industry veterans like Dr Ernest Wong and KC See, (2) reputable medias like The New Paper, MyPaper and Singapore Forex Forum and (3) educational institution like ERC Institute, I will continue to Inspire, Inform and Improve the Forex Education in Asia.

5. I have a lot of great new friends within this year... Thank you for accepting, enduring and supporting me!
  • My office mates KS Low and Phoebe Heng
  • My Money Mastery coursemates like Sherwin, Ernest, Amelia, Mike, Ravin, Henry, Serene, Priscilla, Paul and definitely Auntie Joenia
  • My Malaysia assistant Siew Fong
  • My Singapore GM Kok Leong and assistant Lowie
  • My good friends from Malaysia - Bernard Hay & Dorothy, Derek Cheah & Vivien Koh, Martin Lau etc
  • My many Forex graduates under Forex Asia Academy, both Singapore and Malaysia
Thank you some of the most important people in my life, my dearest Mum, Dad and my bro Koon Po. Thank you Mrs Chong, Mdm Ong and the many teachers in my life. Not forgetting my all-time best friends - Wee Teck, Sooping, Xiuyu, Kaizhong, Wen Hui (Adeline), Kanghao, Her Tien, Miko etc etc and very importantly, Shuzhen.

(If I left any of you out, please forgive me!)

HelpNazri.com

Yesterday, I just launched HelpNazri.com - an initiative to help one of my Forex graduates, Md Nazri.

Nazri has been a juvenile diabetic since 17 years old. He had a foot ulcer that won't go away and was then amputated in Nov-2006. Been in and out of hospital since that, he lost all his strength and was unable to even stand up till now. Doctors can't seem to tell what has actually happened to him except to blame it on diabetes. Been jobless since then and was cheated by his partner who leave everything to him, he got nothing but a mountain of debts.

Disappointed, he tried to ask for assistance from various agencies to help to settle his hospital bills and for financial assistance. He’s often rejected because his father is a pensioner and has a lab engineer sister. He’s in a "sandwich" class so he can’t possibly get any financial assistance no matter what he does. Getting assistance was quite simply impossible.

I specially setup this site HelpNazri.com to gather help and assistance. Do take a look at HelpNazri.com and if you think you can extend your lending hands further in any way to help Nazri, please feel free to let us know. I'd be glad to help. All you need to do is just to email us at HelpNazri@ForexAsiaAcademy.com or my personal email at kl@klchoo.com or simply dial +65 6329-9775.

I'm on THE NEW PAPER...

Koon Lip

I was featured today on THE NEW PAPER (Singapore) Page 10.

I was interviewed because of the bold statement I declared to the world that T'm Going to Retire by 26' and how he managed to turn his life around within these 2 years and reap substantial rewards in the process!

p.s. In fact, you can see the online version at

A good news to share...

Recently, I was interviewed by Singapore Forex Forum (SFF) about my trading strategies, philosophies and methodologies.

This experienced Forex trader, Wilson Neo, started SFF to have traders around to discuss about their experience about the Forex courses around and caution to those uninitiated. At the same time, Wilson, together with his Forex scouts, checks out regularly for good Forex Trading courses conducted in Singapore.

With their extensive background and understanding of the Forex market, SFF is the authority 'voice' around to talk about the credibility and effectiveness of the Forex courses available in Singapore.

And just a moment ago, Wilson wrote in the forum about my Forex course and compared me with a Forex Veteran, Mr Clarence Chee.

Please see: http://www.singaporeforexforum.com/showthread.php?t=1501

For your information, Mr Clarence Chee is rated the best Forex Educator (providing the best forex course in Singapore) during a recent Forex gathering event conducted at Singapore Exchange sometimes earlier this year and he is really someone I really respect in the Forex Education industry. I'm truly happy to be placed side-by-side with him under the stringent consideration of SFF.

And yes, the Forex course I conducted through my Forex Asia Academy is the second Forex course (after Clarence's) to be well-mentioned in SFF. The selection criteria includes the well-structured Forex syllabus provided for the students, the ongoing support given to the graduates, the trading attitudes that are advocated during the course and most importantly, the effectiveness and long-term profitability of the Forex Strategies taught.

If you are keen to post any feedbacks and testimonials about my course, you can go to http://www.singaporeforexforum.com/showthread.php?t=1502

A word of Caution - Greed and Fear

"The market may be unpredictable, but nothing beats you up than your very own greed and fear."

For traders out there, Control yourself. The market knows you very well. Whatever you do, the market will reward you accordingly. Nature could never ever resist your pursuit of freedom, as long you do it the right way.
